Dumpling Dinner Party

How many kinds of Chinese Dumplings have you eaten? Do you know what food is special for Spring Festival? Would you like to learn making dumpling to celebrate the Chinese new year with your family and friends? Join us to learn making Jiaozi by yourselves and enjoy different kinds of delicious dumplings! This skill will be a special talent during your stay in Beijing!

Chinese dumpling is one of the most important foods in Chinese New Year. Since the shape of Chinese dumplings is similar to ancient Chinese gold or silver ingots, they symbolize wealth. Traditionally, the members of a family get together to make dumplings during the New Year's Eve. They may hide a coin in one of the dumplings. The person who find the coin will likely have a good fortune in the New Year.

This activity will be located in a special traditional Chinese Dumpling restaurant. First, we will introduce the history and folk tales of dumplings while eating some delicious dishes; And then, begin to learn making Chinese dumplings; Last, to taste the Chinese dumplings make by yourselves and different kinds of Dumplings made by this dumpling restaurant .Here are some pictures in our dumpling dinner party on Feb 13th 2007.
